My projects throughout my MA have explored the relationship between our food sources and what is lost with mass production methods. We all have an ‘Ideal’ specimen in our minds, a romanticised view of what certain things look like. However when it comes to produce, many still treat living things purely as resources to be exploited. Low cost is the only factor, reducing the quality of life for all produce and farmers.

 

I have explored this through visual mix media. Creating rough and rustic subjects with a variety of traditional media, using digital techniques to enhance them.
